Peter HEATON-ELLIS
Peter, peacefully at home, on 21st August 2011. Husband of the late
Prue, father of Mikie, Charlotte and David, and loving grandfather.
Funeral Friday 2nd September, at 3pm in All Saints' Church, Chitterne.
Family flowers only. Donations if desired to The Heaton-Ellis Trust or
All Saints' Church, Chitterne, c/o F Curtis & Son, 11 Portway,
Warminster BA12 8QC.
He was the son of Maj John Sydney HEATON-ELLIS (1889-1980) head of
that gentry family formerly of Wyiddiall Hall, and Jean Robinson
(1894-1984, dau of Joel Henry LEE-HORWOOD of Melbourne, Australia). He
m 1956 Prudence Elizabeth Woodbine (1929-2002, dau of Cdr Frank
Reginald Woodbine PARISH DSO RN (1903-73), head of that gentry family
of Bawburgh Old Hall). Their son, Michael James Brabazon (b 1958),
succeeds his f as head of the famiy, he m 1984 Catriona dau of J J
O'SULLIVAN of Somerby, Ollards Grove, Loughton, Essex. They had a son
Harry Pleydell W b 1992 (reg Sept, Weymouth) and a dau Sophia Patricia
b 1990 (reg Sept, Weymouth).
Lt-Col Heaton-Ellis' dau, Charlotte Anne (b 1959), m 1989 Piers
Desmond Herschel CHICHESTER (b 1954, scion of the marquesses of
DONEGAL and 9th in line, and of the MANSEL Bts) and had a son Harry
Pleydell Whately (b 1992, 10th in line to the marquessate) and a dau
Sophia Patricia (b 1990)
