He was s of Michael Douro HOARE (1925-2007), scion of the FETHERSTONHAUGH Irish gentry family, and Valerie Anne JAMES (b 1928). He m 1979 (div 1989) as her 1st h Linda Kinvara (b 1953) d of Hon Michael Anthony Rathbone CAYZER (1920-90, s of 1st Baron ROTHERWICK (1881-1958)) and Hon Patricia Helen BROWNE (1926-81, d of 4th Baron ORANMORE and BROWNE (1901-2002)), and had a son.
