ORR-EWING
Joanie, peacefully on Christmas Eve aged 93 after a long and fulfilled
life. Wife of the late Ian and much loved mother of Simon, Colin,
Malcolm and Robert, grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 16,
mother-in-law and friend. Family cremation, no flowers please. Service
of Thanksgiving 11.30 a.m. Tuesday 25th January at Chelsea Old Church,
Chelsea Embankment, London SW3.
She was the dau of Gordon McMINNIES of Talbot Hotel, Stow-on-the-Wold,
Glos. She m 1939 the 1st and last Baron ORR-EWING (1912-99) and 1st
Bt. They had four sons as above, the eldest of whom is the present 2nd
Bt.
[Excluding the present Bt, she has produced 17 male descendants in
line to the baronetcy.]
