I've been reviewing some of the candidates for extinction within the next ~50 years and was unconvinced that we had the whole story for some of the titles.  One is Baron BURDEN (cr 1950, UK).  The second Baron had three sons, the eldest of whom is now 3rd Baron. They all appear unm on thepeerage.com

- Andrew Philip BURDEN, 3rd Baron (b 1959) - there are a number of candidate marriages for him, none of which might be correct. Nothing in Companies House.

- Fraser William Elsworth BURDEN (b 1964) - there is a marriage for Fraser W E BURDEN and June E CANHAM [probably June Ellen, born 1966] in 1991 Tavistock, Devon.  Companies House records suggest that he now lives in France. Could not locate any children, but they may have been born abroad.

- Ian Stuart BURDEN (b 1967) - no obvious marriage. Companies House picks him up as a Director in 3 companies, now resident in Langport, Somerset (prev Barnstaple). One of these companies has a director named "The Honourable Katherine Jane BURDEN", with the same correspondence address. This is not the name of any of his sisters, so it may well be his wife. Her DoB is given as Nov 1972.  Social media leads me to a possible candidate whose was prev known as Katherine RIGLAR. A BMD check for her does lead to Q4 1972 in Weymouth, Dorset, so this would be a plausible candidate, but no marriages listed for these two surnames. Similarly could not locate any children.

Hopefully somebody else can use this to make a breakthrough.

And the 3rd Baron died in 2000 in any event.

Thanks for doing the 'digging' on this. The 3rd Baron Burden dsp in 2000 & was succ by his brother Fraser William Elsworth BURDEN (b 1964). Debrett's records a m in 1991 which ended in divorce [Debrett's says in 2002, Who's Whos says in 2006]). No issue shown and Lord Burden's address is simply given as 'France' (no address or contract details given in his Who's Who entry).

Debrett's only other heir to the barony is the 4th Baron's brother, Hon Ian Stuart BURDEN (b 1967), who they show as unmarried. But I think what you've unearthed clearly points to a wife. I've searched the Times database for this and the present Baron's marriages and any births, but have found nothing from that source.

The 1st to 4th Barons Burden are all listed in Who's Who/was Who.
