I've been reviewing some of the candidates for extinction within the next ~50 years and was unconvinced that we had the whole story for some of the titles. One is Baron BURDEN (cr 1950, UK). The second Baron had three sons, the eldest of whom is now 3rd Baron. They all appear unm on
thepeerage.com
- Andrew Philip BURDEN, 3rd Baron (b 1959) - there are a number of candidate marriages for him, none of which might be correct. Nothing in Companies House.
- Fraser William Elsworth BURDEN (b 1964) - there is a marriage for Fraser W E BURDEN and June E CANHAM [probably June Ellen, born 1966] in 1991 Tavistock, Devon. Companies House records suggest that he now lives in France. Could not locate any children, but they may have been born abroad.
- Ian Stuart BURDEN (b 1967) - no obvious marriage. Companies House picks him up as a Director in 3 companies, now resident in Langport, Somerset (prev Barnstaple). One of these companies has a director named "The Honourable Katherine Jane BURDEN", with the same correspondence address. This is not the name of any of his sisters, so it may well be his wife. Her DoB is given as Nov 1972. Social media leads me to a possible candidate whose was prev known as Katherine RIGLAR. A BMD check for her does lead to Q4 1972 in Weymouth, Dorset, so this would be a plausible candidate, but no marriages listed for these two surnames. Similarly could not locate any children.
Hopefully somebody else can use this to make a breakthrough.
