According to the website(http://www.wrothampark.com/history.htm)
about the family estate there is a Robert Byng who manages and owns
the estate and is descended from the brother of the famous admiral who
got court Martialed, the said Robert doesn't seem to be in remainder
to either of the Byng peerages, does anyone have any info on the
family lineage or descent?

Voltaire had Candide saying, when visiting Portsmouth, “Dans ce pays-
ci, il est bon de tuer de temps en temps un amiral pour encourager les
autres”

A well known quote but it doesn't supply much information.

Just looked at my 106th Ed. of Burke's Peerage under Byng Earls of
Strafford and the said Robert would seems to be the eldest son(b.19
June 1962) of Julian Byng formerly Byng(from April 1952,Royal Lic.- 5
Sept 1969 to take Byng name and arms,b.20 Oct 1928) who inherited the
property via the will of his maternal grandfather Edmund Byng,6th Earl
of Strafford(b.27 Jan 1862-d.24 Dec 1951) even though the latter was
succeeded in the peerage by his nephew Robert, the 6th Earl.
