From his death notice, the late Lt-Col Godwin-Austen had twelve grandchildren, two more than are named in Richard's posting. The only possible additional grandchild that I have been able to (tentatively) identify is Rollo Robert Eliot GODWIN-AUSTEN (birth registered Q3 2009 - Chichester).

Eliot Kingsmill POWER (15 XII 1898 - 1969), who appears in Ruvigny's Plantagenet Roll of the Blood Royal, was the younger son of Kingsmill Henry POWER (1862 - 12 IV 1937) and his wife (married 18 II 1897), Mary Harriet MANGLES (c.1863/4 - 21  III 1935), the youngest daughter of Ross Lowis MANGLES, VC (14 IV 1833 - 28 II 1905), one of only five civilians to have been awarded the Victoria Cross, and his wife (married 19 VII 1860), Henrietta Anne MORE-MOLYNEUX (19 X 1836 - 1 V 1918), the younger daughter of James MORE-MOLYNEUX (6 V 1805 - 9 IV 1874), of that landed gentry (LG) family, and his wife (married 19 VII 1832), Caroline Isabella LOWNDES (c.1813/14 - 5 IX 1888).

Caroline Isabella LOWNDES was the daughter of William Francis LOWNDES-STONE (27 X 1783 - 1 XII 1858), for whom see the pedigree of Lowndes-Stone-Norton of Brightwell Baldwin in the 1952 edition of Burke's LG, and his wife (married 3 X 1811), Caroline STRICKLAND (c.1780/1 - 11 IV 1867), the second daughter of Sir William STRICKLAND, 6th Bt (12 III 1753 - 8 I 1834).

Alexander J R CULLEN (born 1963) is the elder son of Jeremy Tom CULLEN (21 XII 1931 - 30 XI 2023) and his former wife (married 24 VI 1959), Tove Antonia REVENTLOW (26 III 1930 - 2004), of that Danish noble family.

Angus John Frederic SIM (born XI 1966) is the son of Campbell Gerald SIM (born 6 IX 1936) and his first wife (married 1963), Louisa S HARMER (born 1939). His sister, Arabella Laura SIM (born 1969), is the wife (married 26 IX 1998) of the Hon Alistair Benedict CAIRNS (born 16 V 1969), the youngest son of the 6th Earl Cairns.

Campbell Sim is the younger son of John Chatterton Coysgarne SIM (1 III 1910 - 13 IX 1987) and his first wife (married 1932, as her second husband), Avice Mary WHITFORD-TURNER (17 VI 1907 - 17 VIII 1993). John Sim's second wife (married 12 XII 1947, as her second husband; divorced 1962) was Beatrix Pamela BELLINGHAM, later BELLINGHAM-KIGGELL (28 VII 1918 -  ?), a great-great-granddaughter of Sir Alan BELLINGHAM, 2nd Bt (2 II 1776 - 26 VIII 1827).

Mrs Louisa Sim is the eldest daughter of Sir Frederic Evelyn HARMER, CMG (3 XI 1905 - 24 II 1995) and his first wife (married 1931), Barbara Susan HAMILTON (2 II 1904 - 1972), of that family, of Fyne Court, Bridgwater, Somerset, which, per Burke's Family Index, last appeared in BLG in the 1952 edition.

Sir Frederic Harmer was himself the younger son of Sir Sidney Frederic HARMER, KBE, FRS (9 III 1862 - 22 X 1950) and his wife (married 1891), Laura Russell HOWELL (29 I 1867 - 23 V 1956).
