From the Telegraph of 14 Dec 2021: LEGGATT Caroline Gaynor (Gay) on 7th December aged 83 following a stroke. Much beloved widow of Sir Hugh Leggatt and an adored sister, aunt, great-aunt and step-mother. Funeral private; service of thanksgiving in the spring to be announced.
She was d of William Leonard TREGONING CBE 1902-91 sometime head of that gentry family of Landue and his 2nd wife Doris Mary Elwes 1907-85 d of Col John JOSSELYN CMG DSO OBE TD 1872-1943 sometime head of that gentry family f/o Little Horksley and Lillian Bella ELWES 1879-1951. She m 1991 as his 2nd w Sir Hugh Frank John 1925-2014 s of Henry Alan LEGGATT 1896-1951 by his 1921 m reg Q3 Herts to his 1st w Beatrice Grace 1900-36 d of John BURTON c1857- by his 1891 m reg Q3 London to Alice Gertrude MATTHEWS c1873-1911.
