Folk singer and original member of Fairport Convention who liked to knit on stage and later returned to being a librarian
...In 1970 she had married the DJ and music writer Simon Stable, whose real name was Simon de la Bédoyère, the son of the writer Count Michael de la Bédoyère, who edited the Catholic Herald for nearly 30 years. He predeceased her in 1994. She is survived by their daughter, Stephanie, and son Daniel, who leads the Glastonbury morris dance troupe.

She was d of Albert S[tephen] DYBLE [1914-78] by his 1945 m (reg Q2 Essex) to Jessica (Jessie) Mary COLLYER (1912-89). She m 1970 Simon Christian Michael (1939-94, the DJ & music writer Simon Stamp) s of Comte Michael Anthony Maurice DE LA BEDOYERE (1900-73, 2xgt gs of Sir John THOROLD 9th Bt (1734-1815) see below for parentage etc), a French title, and his first cousin (both grandchildren of Rt Rev Anthony Wilson THOROLD (1825-95) gs of the aforementioned 9th Bt) and 1st wife (Mary) Catherine Ann (1899-1959) d of Algar Labourchere THOROLD (1866-1936, gt gs of Sir John THOROLD 9th Bt (1734-1815)) and Theresa Mary MANSEL (1871-1944, gt gd of Sir William MANSEL 9th Bt (1739-1804), gt gd of 5th Duke of MANCHESTER (1771-1843) and 2xgt gd of 4th Duke of GORDON (1743-1827) etc etc), and had a son (Daniel Hugh G DE LA BEDOYERE (b 1977 reg Q3 Oxon)) and a dau (Stephanie Joanna DE LA BEDOYERE (b 1980 reg Q4 Oxon)).

Comte Michael DE LA BEDOYERE's father was Yvon DE LA BEDOYERE (1875-1948, s of Hon Mildred Charlotte GREVILLE (d 1901)d of 1st Baron GREVILLE OF CLONYN (1821-83) and Lady Rosa Emily Mary Anne NUGENT (1814-83, d of 1st & last Marquess of WESTMEATH (1785-1781) by his wife a dau of 1st Marquess of SALISBURY (1748-1823) and scion of the DOWNSHIRE marquesses, LEINSTER dukes, INCHIQUIN earls, the VILLIERS ducal family, etc etc))
