From the Telegraph of 12 Nov 2022: WILSON Philippa F.G. Lester, formerly Davidge, (née Lester). Devoted wife of the late Roddy Wilson, and much loved mother and grandmother, died peacefully at home on 27th October 2022. Funeral Service to celebrate a life well lived, at Greens Norton on 5th December at 2.30 p.m. Donations to the Blue Cross.
She was d of Peter Frank LESTER 1903-85 and Gertrude Mary Felicia 1911-2004 d of John Wrighte HEWETT 1865-1944 and Catherine ROSE 1870-1969 (2xgt gd of Sir Ludovic GRANT 7th Bt 1707-73 and 3xgt gd of 5th Earl of FINDLATER c1689-1764 etc). She m 1st 1961 (as his 2nd w) (Cecil) Vere 1901-81 s of Cecil William DAVIDGE 1863-1936 (whom he succ as) head of that gentry family of Little Houghton and Elsie d 1927 d of Henry HAMER of Preston, Lancs, and had a son and a dau.. She m 2nd Leslie Peter 1926-2017 s of Col Peter WILSON and Margaret Gwendolin Wanda STUART-FRENCH (7xgt gd of 1st Baron CASTLE STEWART c1560-1629).
