I can see that I have several additional, or different, things.

I'd have to delve back into the sources for my authority on Sir Michael of Sudbourne being illegitimate.

One line you are missing is William, half-brother of the 1st Earl of Chesterfield. For authority for him, see the Complete Baronetage entry for the 1661 Cooke Baronetcy, for example. See also Collins' Peerage of 1812, Vol 3, pp 407 et seq for him and for the whole family.

Here is a direct link to the Collins' Peerage article. I would recommend reviewing this source for all your genealogies of titles created up to 1812. They usually have full genealogies including all younger children.

Here is a page with links to all nine volumes:

As for your two Edwards, sons of Sir Michael, the second one did not die an infant. You will find them both in History of Parliament for the 1558-1603 period.

That's all the specific instances of differences I have which I intend to point out at this time, but if you do compare your work with mine, and have questions about anything I have in my file, let me know and I'll do my best to find my sources.

Thanks Paul for all your pointers. I am aware of Sir Egerton Brydge’s 1812 edition of Arthur Collins work. I in fact have all of the volumes in book form that I got from a lucky eBay sale a few years back, though I use the digital version for ease of perusal.

I was able to construct the lineage of William Stanhope, of Linby, younger half-brother of the 1st Earl of Chesterfield. I will take a look at the other branches too.

Collins seems to be my source for supposing that Sir Michael's son, also named Michael, may not have been legitimate.

It lists the children of Sir Michael and his wife, Anne Rawson, as per a monumental inscription, not including a son named Michael. Collins then says "Sir Michael Stanhope had another son, also Sir Michael..." To me this implies that Michael may not have been son of Sir Michael's wife.
