From the Telegraph of 28 July 2021: FANSHAWE Araby Diana died peacefully at home on July 18th aged 98. Private funeral. No flowers please but donations if desired to Kate's Home Nurses...

She was d of Philip Lucas RANSOM 1894-1979 of Winwick Warren, Rugby by his c1921 m reg Q1 London to Araby Mona GREER 1895-1957. She m 1st 1946 reg Q2 Middx as his 1st w Capt Edensor James EDWARDS-HEATHCOTE 1917-2010, no issue. She m 2nd 1963 as his 2nd w Maj Richard Gennys 1906-88 s of Lt-Gen Sir Edward Arthur FANSHAWE KCB 1859-1952 scion of that gentry family f/o Donnington Hall (and gt gs of Lt-Gen Sir Hew Whiteford DALRYMPLE 1st Bt 1750-1830) and (Frances Anne) Rose HIGGINSON c1867-1950, and had a son who is m with a son and a dau.

The following extract is from BP 1949 ed Knightage  section, pg 2287, related to Lt- Gen Sir Edward Arthur Fanshawe KCB:

"Fanshawe Lt- Gen.Sir Edward Arthur K.C.B. (1917), C.B. (1915); late R.A.; Brig. - Gen. R.A. 1914- 15; Div. Cmdr. 1915,
and Corps Cmdr. 1916- 18; Col. Cmdt. R.H.A. 1923- 34; served in Afghan War 1878- 80 (medal) , in Sudan Expdn. 1885
(medal with clasp, bronze star), and in World War I (despatches nine times); has  Order of St.Maurice and St. Lazarus
of Italy, is Gd.  Offr. of the Crown of Belgium, Croix de Guerre, and Cmdr, Legion of honour; b. 4 April 1859 son of Rev.
Henry Leighton Fanshawe of Chilworth House, Wheatly, Oxford..."
