From the Telegraph of 20 Feb 2024: BARBER Lady, Jeannine Mary (née Gurney), died peacefully on 2nd February 2024, aged 80. Private service on Friday 1st March, then a Memorial Service at St Katherine's, Savernake, Wilts, SN8 3BG on Saturday 20th April at 11.30 a.m. Much loved wife to David, mother to Richard, Charlie, Paddy, Sarah and Sam, stepmother to Tom and grandmother to nine.

She was d of Capt Timothy John GURNEY 1921-2001 sometime head of that gentry family of Hare Street and Bridget 1922-2011 d of Patrick Wynne DE BATHE 1876-1939 (s of Gen Sir Gerald Henry Perceval DE BATHE 4^th Bt 1823-1907, as also f of 6^th Bt) and his 2^nd w Marjorie d of Capt Charles William O’BRIEN of Tanderagee, co Armagh. She m 1^st 1964 (div 1978) John Richard b 1938 s of Richard Courtenay BOYLE 1902-86 (2xgt gs of 7^th Earl of CORK & ORRERY 1742-98) and Guendolen Mabel Maclean GRIFFITH 1907-2001, and had three sons. She m 2^nd 1978 as his 2nd w Sir Thomas David BARBER 3^rd Bt b 1937, and had a fourth son (the Bt’s 2^nd s) and a dau.
