From the Telegraph of 21 Feb 2022: ERSKINE-HILL Christine Alison, (ARCM), Lady E-H died peacefully at home on February 3rd 2022 aged 98. Widow of Sir Robert, loving mother of Carola, Alison, Roger and Henry, Grandmother and Great grandmother. Service of Thanksgiving on Friday,4th March at 2pm at Libberton Kirk... She was d of Capt Henry James JOHNSTONE 1895-1947 scion of that Scots gentry family of Alva and of the JOHNSTONE OF WESTERHALL Bts and Alison McINTYRE 1900-84 scion of that Scots gentry family of Sorn (BLGS p891). She m 1942 Sir Robert ERSKINE-HILL 2nd Bt 1917-89 s of Sir Alexander Galloway ERSKINE-HILL 1st Bt 1894-1947 and Christian Hendrie COLVILLE 1888-1947 (sister of 1st Baron CLYDESMUIR 1894-1954), and had two sons (incl present 3rd Bt) and two daus as above.
