He was s of Henry Leopold CRAWFORD 1900-79 of Surbiton, Surrey by his 1931 m reg Q3 Chester to Charlotte Mary Anne Veronica 1903-89 d of Michael Joseph ROCHFORD c1850-1907 by his 10 July 1897 m (St Mary’s, Dublin) to Charlotte Veronica CARROLL 1872-1957. He m 1962 Penelope Anne b 1936 d of Lt-Col Joseph George MORROGH BERNARD MBE 1898-1994 sometime head of that Irish gentry family and Nancy Mary 1911-96 d of Adm Sir Edward Francis Benedict CHARLTON KCB KCMG CB 1865-1937 scion of that gentry family of Hesleyside and his 2^nd w Winifred Mary 1880-1963 d of Frederick Annesley STAPLETON-BRETHERTON (formerly Bretherton) 1841-(April)1919 sometime head of that gentry family of Rainhill and Hon Isabella Mary PETRE 1848-(July)1919 d of 12^th Baron PETRE 1817-84 and Mary Theresa CLIFFORD 1823-95 gd of 6^th Baron CLIFFORD OF CHUDLEIGH 1759-1831, as well gd of 8^th Baron ARUNDELL OF WARDOUR 1740-1808 etc, and had three sons as above.
