From the Telegraph of 20 Sept 2021: SPENCE Christopher John loving and much loved husband, father and grandfather died on 13th September. Funeral Service to be held at St Mary’s Church, Chieveley on Friday 8th October at 11 a.m, followed by a private family burial. Family flowers only please. Donations,if desired, to Racing Welfare.
He was s of Brig Ian Fleming Morris SPENCE OBE MC TD c1906-1966 and Ruth PEACOCK. He m 1960 (div 1968) as her 1st h Merle Aurelia b 1939 d of Sir Leonard ROPNER 1st Bt and Esme ROBERTSON, and had a son (Jeremy Mark 1964-82) and a dau (Miranda Jane b 1963 and m a scion of the BARRAN Bts and has issue). He m 2nd 1970 Susan d of Brig Michael MORLEY MBE and had a further son and a dau
