From the Telegraph of 21 March 2015: MEINERTZHAGEN on 17 March 2015, Dan died peacefully after a long illness. Adoring father, beloved brother, uncle and great uncle now with Georgina. Service of Thanksgiving on Wednesday 29 April 2015 at 11.00am at Chelsea Old Church SW3 5LT. All welcome.
He was s of Daniel MEINERTZHAGEN (1915-91), scion of that gentry family of Westphalian origin, and Marguerite Josephine (1914-2003) d of A E LEONARD of Montagu Square, London. He m 1970 (reg Q4 Westminster) Amanda (b 1945 reg Q3 Huddersfield, Yorks) d of _ LUMB and _ HANSON. They had a dau, Georgina Louisa (1975-92), who predeceased her father.
