From the Telegraph and Times of 19 November 2019: PALMER Andrew Eustace CMG, CVO died peacefully on 13th November, aged 82. Loving and much loved husband, father and grandfather. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at 12pm on Monday 9th December at St. Barnabas' Church, Peasemore...

He was s of Lt-Col Rodney Howell PALMER (1907-87), scion of (not descended from) the only Bt of that name cr 1904, and his 1st w (her 1st h) Frances Pauline (1909-94, having m 2nd Norman John Ainsworth) d of Capt Lachlan GORDON-DUFF (1880-1914), scion of the Scots gentry family of that name of Park & Drummuir, and Lydia Dorothy Muriel (1885-1971, having m 2nd Col Hardress William Lucius Waller DSO) d of Joseph PIKE of Steeple Aston, Oxfordshire. He m 1962 Davina Cecil d of Sir Roderick Edward BARCLAY GCVO KCMG (1909-96), scion of the BARCLAY and other gentry families, and Jean Cecil (1912-96) d of Sir Hugh Steuart GLADSTONE (1877-1949), scion of the Scots gentry family of that name of Capenoch & Cecily Emily CHETWYND-TALBOT (d 1949), scion of the SHREWABURY & WATERFORD earls etc, and had two sons and a dau.

just some additional details:

Andrew's daughter is Viscountess Garmoyle.

Andrew's great-grandfather, Alfred Palmer, was older brother of Sir Walter Palmer, Bt. (1858-1910). Alfred Palmer was also first cousin of Samuel Ernest Palmer, 1st Lord Palmer (1858-1948).

His mother's paternal grandmother was Pauline Emma Tennant, dau of Sir Charles Tennant, Bt., a title now held by Lord Glenconner.
