The new baronet's wife, née Nicola Jane DE SELINCOURT (born 26 IX 1969), is the daughter of Charles Martin DE SELINCOURT, OBE (29 I 1936 - 2 V 2024) and his wife (married 1966), Jane C MCKENZIE (born 23 IX 1943). The late Charles de Selincourt was the son of Martin Robert DE SELINCOURT (26 XI 1864 - 8 VIII 1950) and his second wife (married 2 III 1933, as her first husband), Nancy Dorothy BROWN, MBE (25 V 1907 - 9 II 2002), whose second husband (married 25 XI 1964, as his second wife) was Capt John HUNTER-GRAY, MC (24 VII 1923 - 12 VIII 1975).
Martin de Selincourt and his first wife (married 7 VIII 1888), Mabel SPEED (25 XII 1864 - 13 XII 1932), had a daughter, Dorothy ("Daphne") DE SELINCOURT (22 IX 1890 - 1971), who was the wife (married 4 VI 1913) of Alan Alexander MILNE (18 I 1882 - 31 I 1956), better known as A A Milne, the author of Winnie the Pooh. Their only child, Christopher Robin MILNE (21 VIII 1920 - 20 IV 1996), was the husband (married 24 VII 1948) of his first cousin, Lesley Elizabeth DE SELINCOURT (6 V 1925 - 3 X 2014; the younger daughter of his mother's brother Aubrey DE SELINCOURT (7 VI 1894 - 20 XII 1962) and his wife (married 1919), Irene Rutherford McLEOD (21 VIII 1891 - 2 XII 1968)), by whom he had an only child, Clare MILNE (1956 - 27 X 2012).
Mrs Nancy Hunter-Gray, MBE, née Brown, formerly de Selincourt, was a sister of John Falcon BROWN (17 IX 1913 - 7 V 2007), who was the husband (married 3 VI 1939) of Anstice AWDRY (8 V 1914 - 14 VIII 1999), of that landed gentry family, who was a first cousin once removed downwards of the Rev Wilbert Vere AWDRY, OBE (15 VI 1911 - 21 III 1997), the author of Thomas the Tank Engine and other works in his railway series of books for children.
The late baronet's father-in-law, Keith CAMERON (4 V 1913 - 30 XII 1980), was the husband (married 1939) of Anne Penelope MATURIN (1918 - 24 III 2016), who was the daughter of Lt-Col Reginald George MATURIN, DSO (13 XI 1877 - 20 VIII 1952) and his wife (married 21 I 1917), Ella Jane MATURIN-BAIRD (23 II 1891 - 1981), of that family, which, per Burke's Family Index, last appeared in Burke's Landed Gentry in the 1952 edition (a more up to date account of the family can be found at
