He is succeeded in the Baronetcy by his only son, Sir Hereward Charles WAKE, 15th Baronet (b 1952). The new baronet m(1) Lady Doune Mabell OGILVY, d of the 8th Earl of AIRLIE and Virginia Fortune RYAN in 1977 (div 1995) - 3 sons (1 died in infancy) & 1 dau, and m(2) Joan Elizabeth McCALL in 1998 - no issue.

The new ha is his eldest son John Hereward WAKE (b 1978) - anybody have information on marriage/issue?

Also, Sir Hereward's death marks the passing of the eldest Baronet (after only a few months of holding this honour). Who takes over?

He was also the only living centenarian baronet.  The oldest baronet would now appear to be Sir Humphrey Moon 7th Baronet of Copsewood (UK 1887) b 9 October 1919 provided he did not predecease his brother Sir Roger Moon who died very recently

If Henry W's research is correct and Humphrey Moon did predecease his brother Sir Roger Moon then the oldest baronet is Sir Eric Yarrow (UK 1916 of Homestead) b 23 April 1920

Henry W, the new baronet has 2 surviving sons and 1 son deceased.

The eldest, John Hereward (b. 1978) is heir apparent. The middle son, Henry David (b. 1980), is next. The youngest son, Thomas Mark (b. 1984) died in 1985.

Only Henry has a son-- Toby Otto, b. 2014.

as it would appear that Humphrey Moon outlived his brother and is still alive then he would be the oldest living baronet though as indicated by sealion it seems he is unlikely to formally  claim the title.
