A few interesting Anglo-American connections here. Henry Gordon Clegg married Maud Field, a niece of the American department store mogul Marshall Field. Field-Clegg descendants include Viscount Allendale, Baroness Suffield, a Countess of Lindsay, etc. Marshall Field's own daughter married Admiral the 1st Earl Beatty (descendants include wife of Viscount Gage) and a Field granddaughter married an Edmonstone baronet (descendants include McGrigor & Buchanan-Jardine baronets).
