The 2nd Lord Morris of Kenwood, JP, retired company director, died 2
December, 2004. He was aged 76.

Philip Geoffrey Morris was born 18 June, 1928, a son of the then Harry
Morris, Labour MP for the Central Division of Sheffield, and later the
Neepsend Division of Sheffield, from 1945 to 1950, when he applied for
the Chiltern Hundreds to provide a seat in Parliament for the then
Solicitor-General Sir Frank Soskice, who had lost his seat. Harry
Morris was elevated to the peerage in July, 1950.

The 2nd Baron's mother was Florence (d. 1982), daughter of Henry
Isaacs, of Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Philip Morris served as a R.A.F. fighter-pilot; was a company director,
and, from 1967, a JP for Inner London. He succeeded his father in the
peerage, July, 1954.

Lord Morris married in 1958, the Hon. Ruth Joan Gertrude Rahle Janner,
a solicitor in partnership with her father, daughter of the then Sir
Barnett Janner, MP, (afterwards Lord Janner, a life peer), and Lady
Janner, by whom he had one son, Jonathan, and two daughters.

The peerage now devolves upon his only son, who was b. 5 August, 1968.
