He was s of Brian Harrington GRAYSON 1900-89 s of Lt-Col Sir Henry Mulleneux GRAYSON 1^st Bt 1865-1951) and his 1^st wife Sofia d of George BUCHANAN. He m 1958 Sara Mary d of C F UPTON of Monte Carlo, and had 3 sons and 4 daus. His eldest son succeeds him:

Yet another peer/baronet who has a son that cannot inherit because his parents weren't married.  It used to be rare, but now has become all too common

Thankfully, here, and in other cases, there are others in the line of succession.  However,  in some cases, like Baron Melchett a few years ago, the title becomes extinct.

This is strictly an observation and a concern for the future of the peerage and baronetage, not a moral commentary.
