From the Telegraph of 25 May 2022: HOUSTON Alexander William (Bill). Died peacefully at home on 18th May aged 94. Beloved husband of Averil for 68 years and much loved by his family and friends. Funeral at Datchworth Church at 3 p.m., on 29th June. Strong to the end.
He was s of Archibald HOUSTON Ansford Lodge, Castle Carey, Somerset and _ ROBSON. He m 1953 Hon Averil VIVIAN 1930-2022 d of 3rd Baron SWANSEA 1875-1934 and Hon Winifred HAMILTON 1884-1944 d of 1st Baron HOLMPATRICK 1839-98 and Lady Victoria Alexandrina WELLESLEY 1847-1933 (gd of FM 1st Duke of WELLINGTON 1769-1852 & sister of the 4th Duke), and had two sons and a dau. His wife died on New Year's Day.
