He was s of Thomas Denis LEVER of Conningsby House, Sheffield. He m 1^st 1964 Elizabeth Barbara 1933-2004 d of Sir Richard Edgar HUGHES 13^th Bt 1897-1970 and Angela Lilian Adelaide 1899-1967 d of Albert Julian PELL 1863-1916 sometime head of that gentry family of Wilburton and Catharine Marion 1867-1956 d of Sir (Edward) Walter GREENE 1^st Bt 1842-1920 and Anne Elizabeth ROYDS 1843-1912, and had a son and two daus as above. He m 2^nd 20_ Lesley, who survives him.
