The engagement is announced between Major Milo Skene, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), son of the late Douglas Skene and of the Hon Mrs John Russell, of Leicestershire, and Lisa, daughter of Mr Peter Schlesinger, of Cape Town, South Africa, and Mrs Lyn Schlesinger, of London

(Robert James ) Milo (b Sep 1978, reg Rugby) is s of the late Robert Douglas SKENE and Judith (Judy Violet Ella, b 1949, m 2nd 2010 the Hon John Hugo Trenchard RUSSELL (b 1950) s of 3rd Baron AMPTHILL) d of Col Lionel James Gaselee SHOWERS DSO (1904-77), scion of the Scots gentry family STIRLING of Garden, and Elizabeth Mabel (1911-2000) d of Maj Miles BARNE DSO (1876-1917), scion of that gentry family of Sotterley Hall, and Violet Ella (1881-1969, d of Sir Archibald Ernest ORR-EWING 3rd Bt (1853-1922) and the Hon Mabel ADDINGTON (d 1942) d of 3rd Viscount SIDMOUTH).
