From the Telegraph of 17 April 2019: SPICER Julian OBE, died peacefully in hospital after a very short illness on 16th April 2019, aged 84. Beloved brother to Christopher, father to Alexandra and Charles, and grandfather to Lily, Grace, Cecily and Martha. Funeral and thanksgiving service arrangements to follow.

He was s of Adriaan Evan SPICER (1905-75) of Newe House, Pakenham, Suffolk by his 1931 m (reg Q3 London) to Martha Esther Kingsley MASON (1905-88). He m 1st 1963 (reg Q3 London) Sarah Mary T (1940-99) d of Alexander GILROY of Kirk Yetholm, Kelso, Roxburghshire, and had a son (Charles [Adriaan Evan] b c1965 reg Q1 London) and a dau ((Sophie) Alexandra (b c1969 reg Q1 London)) as above. He m 2nd 2009 (as her 2nd h, widow of Norman Kirkpatrick) Lady Louisa CATHCART (1948-2017) d of Maj-Gen 6th Earl CATHCART CB (1919-99) and Rosemary Clare Marie Gabrielle (1921-80) d of Air-Cdre Sir Henry Percy SMYTH-OSBOURNE CMG CBE (1879-1969), scion of the gentry family of that name formerly of Ash, by his w a scion of the GERARD OF BRYN barons.
