From the Telegraph of 22 March 2022: Mr M.A. Halsall and Dr S.M.V. Edgell - The engagement is announced between Mark, son of Mr and Mrs John Halsall, of Preston, Lancashire, and Sophie, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard Edgell, of Bishops Nympton, Devon.

See below for earlier EDGELL generations. I take the prospective bride to be a member of the EDGELL of Standerwick Court gentry family and I'd be grateful to anyone who has a BLG 1914 and can confirm that.

The entry for EDGELL of Standerwick Court in BLG 1914 can be found online at https://ukga.org/browse.php?action=ViewRec&DB=33&bookID=241&pagecount=601&submit=Previous (press the "Next" button at the top of the page to see the rest of the article). Unfortunately, the line shown in Richard's posting does not feature therein, but that is not to say that no connection exists.

I have been unable to find any connection with the Mawbey baronets, although, since the christian name of Erasmus was used in their family, it seems a possibility.
