I very much doubt there's another individual with a name as similar as the person in question; birth records corroborate our thoughts that it's indeed the same man.
I too have Neville W. Rogers's father as Hugh W. Rogers; his father in turn appears to have been Clive Woodes Rogers (1897-1985), of The Old Rectory, Ingestre, Staffords., who married May Stewart Holland (can't find a marriage record, though). His father was Edward Lionel Rogers (1861-1941), of Richmond, Surrey, a stockbroker, who married Edith Maud Humble. His father was Woodes Rogers (1809-1876) of Reigate, Surrey, an East India merchant, who married Mary (a marriage record gives 'Baker', but a family genealogy page has 'Williams'; possibly one is her maiden name, the other a former married name, but I haven't yet had time to check this). His father was also suggested to be, by the same genealogy page, Woodes Rogers, married to Jane. She and her children are resident at Dorchester Place, Shoreditch in the 1841 census. Some more digging might uncover a link to the sailor Woodes Rogers (at Wikipedia above), as well as the Viscounts Conway. Hopefully I'll have some luck tomorrow!
As for Sarah F. Gordon, it seems like the parentage you've found could be correct, but her name is fairly common so it'd be hard to confirm 100%, I think, unless there's a hidden snippet of information somewhere that removes all doubt.
