Strang Steel / Soden engagement

Mr A.F. Strang Steel and Miss J.F. Soden
The engagement is announced between Alistair Fairfax, younger son of
Mr and Mrs Colin Strang Steel, of Threepwood, Selkirkshire, and Jane
Fleur, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Raymond Soden, of Vancouver,
Canada.

Alistair Fairfax (b 1975) is the younger son of Colin Brodie STRANG
STEEL (b 1945, and brother of Maj Sir (Fiennes) Michael STRANG STEEL
of Philiphaugh CBE 3rd Bt (b 1943)) and April Eileen (dau of Aubrey
Fairfax STUDD of Cahoo House, Regaby West, Ramsey, IoM (possibly of
that gentry family formerly of Exeleigh?) and Katharine Eslpeth dau of
Capt H S HARRISON-WALLACE DSO RN of 52 Pont Street London SW).
Alistair is currently fifth in line to the baronetcy.
