According to Debrett's and Burke's he died on 24 June 1971.  Who's Who says 4 Jun 1971 and a probate search says 3 June.  Does anyone have a  contemporaneous death notice/obituary  giving the correct date?

Hi colinp.

For what it's worth---

I found an ancestry tree belonging to Peter MUFF.  The current baron has a brother by the same name, so it's possible it is his tree.

The tree gives the date of death as June 3, 1971,  with the place of death being St. Luke's Hospital in Bradford, Yorkshire.

The Daily Express of Friday 4 June 1971, page 16, had an item as follows:
The Baron
Police Constable Charles Muff, aged 24, will be on duty in Bradford, Yorks, today as the third Baron Calverley, following his father's death.
That suggests that his father died on 3 rather than 4 June. The 3rd Baron is Charles Rodney, but I believe (pace the Daily Express) that he is known as Rodney.
