From the Telegraph of 8 June 2023: AIRD Jeremy John on 29th May aged 87. Beloved husband of Elizabeth for 57 years, much loved father to David and Catherine, and grandfather to Roman and Luke. He will be greatly missed. Thanksgiving Service on 3rd July at 11.30 a.m. at Church of the Ascension, Burghclere... At his request, cheerful coloured clothing please. No flowers. He was s of Malcolm Henry AIRD 1899-1965 (gs of Sir John AIRD 1^st Bt 1833-1911) and Joan Meredith 1895-1986 d of Henry Parkman STURGIS c1847-1929 (b USA) of London and his 2^nd w (m 17 July 1894, St Michael’s, Mickleham) Marie Eveleen MEREDITH 1871-1933. He m 1967 Mary Elizabeth b 1940 d of Lt-Col Sir William Richard de Bacquencourt DES VOEUX 9^th Bt 1911-ka1944 and Jean Margaret Rose 1914-74 d of Lt-Col John Ford ELKINGTON DSO 1866-1944 sometime head of that gentry family of Adbury Holt, and Mary REW 1878-1956, and had a son and a dau as above.
