From the Times of 24 July 2021: WEATHERILL Bernard Richard QC died peacefully at home on 15th July after a long illness. Beloved and devoted husband of Clare, adored father of Julia and Thomas, son, brother, stepfather and forever known as Pip Pop to all his grandchildren... funeral service on 30th July...

He was elder s of the LP Baron WEATHERILL 1920-2007 and (Daphne Iola) Lyn b 1928 reg Q4 Essex d of Henry Thomas EATWELL c1901-1958 of Sandwich Bay, Kent by his 1924 m reg Q3 London to Edith Gertrude JONES c1899-1962. He m 1977 (div 2001) Sally Maxwell b 1951 d of John Ronald FISHER 1916-81 (s of Brig Sir Gerald Thomas FISHER KBE CSI CIE 1887-1965 and his 2nd w Ruth Alice 1900-82 d of Brig-Gen Sir Edward Thomas LE MARCHANT 4th Bt 1871-1953 (gs of 1st Baron BELPER 1801-80)) and Joan Margaret A COURT BERGNE c1917-2011, and had a son and a dau as above.

The following extract is from BP ed 1956, Knightage section, pg 2483, related to Brig Sir Gerald Thomas Fisher KBE CSI CIE:

Resident at Gwalior, 1937- 1940; and in Central India 1940- 42; Mil. Governor, British Somaliland, 1943- 48; b. 27 Aug. 1887,
son of late Prof.William Rogers Fisher, of  Coopers Hill..."
