Capt Hugh de Lisle PENFOLD (17 II 1895 - 6 XII 1977) was the son of the Rev John Brookes Vernon PENFOLD (c.1864 - 24 XI 1922) and his wife (married 7 XI 1893), Maude Frances CAREY (3 XI 1865 - 27 XII 1913), of that landed gentry family, formerly of La Ville-au-Roy, Guernsey.
