From the Telegraph of 27 April 2023: SPURWAY Humphrey John, of  Livingston. Peacefully, on April 6th 2023, Humphrey, much loved husband of the late Rosaline, father of Guy, Mark, Charlie and Kalitza. Private committal, followed by a Memorial Service at Harburn House on Thursday May 11th at 2.15 p.m., to which all family and friends are welcome. Family flowers only, please but donations, if desired in Humphrey's memory, in aid of Parkinson's UK can be given at the memorial service.

He was s of Marcus Humphrey Ure SPURWAY 1908-1989 and Margaret Stuart 1910-97 d of William Arthur BAIRD 1879-1933 (s of Sir David BAIRD of Newbyth 3^rd Bt 1832-1913) and Lady Hersey Constance Evelyn CONYNGHAM 1887-1962 d of 4^th Marquess CONYNGHAM 1857-97 and Hon Frances Elizabeth Sarah EVELEIGH-DE MOLEYNS 1862-1939 d of 4^th Baron VENTRY 1828-1914. He m 1968 Rosaline Avril Orr 1945-2016 d of George Edward Orr WALKER MBE TD QC 1909-73 sometime head of that Scots gentry family of Newart Castle, Ayr, and Margaret Sybil 1912-2003 d of George Simpson ORR 1877-1941, and had three sons and a dau as above.
