From the Telegraph of 5 July 2013: DUPREE  Sir David, Bt., aged 83 years. Died quietly on Saturday 29th June 2013. Beloved uncle of Victoria, Bartolome, Alfonso and Patricia, brother-in-law of Roberto Mercadal and dedicated schoolmaster of Stancliffe Hall Preparatory School. Funeral Service at Chesterfield Crematorium on Wednesday 17th July at 3.10 p.m. No flowers please. He was s of Lt-Cdr James DUPREE RNVR (1899-1972) and Mary Ethel Gillot (d 1949, formerly Mrs A Stuart Elsworth) d of T W REID of Rockhall, Dumfriesshire. He succ his first cousin Sir Peter Dupree 5th Bt (1924-2006) in 2006. He was unm and had no heir and the title is now EXTINCT. (The only other known male in line, another first cousin, Michael John Dupree (1947-2011) died 2011 leaving a dau and no sons). But note the Standing Council of the Baronetage lists the title as VACANT, as the last Bt never established his claim to the title.

From the Telegraph of February 2011: DUPREE Michael died unexpectedly on 17th February in London. Hugely missed by his wife Alexandra, daughter Tamara and sister Sally. Private family funeral. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held in London at a later date with all his many friends. Donations to the Down's Syndrome Association.
