He was s of Capt Mervyn Robert George WINGFIELD DSO DSC RN 1911-2005 (2xgt gs of 4th Viscount POWERSCOURT 1762-1809, 3xgt gs of 1st Earl of CLANWILLIAM 1744-1800 etc) and Sheila Mary 1909-2006 d of Maj John Henry PIGE-LESCHALLES 1875-1959 and Ada Kathleen BADHAM 1875-1975. He m 1969 Diana b 1948 reg Q2 Surrey d of Peter Michael LONGHURST 1918-90 of Haslemere, Surrey by his 1943 m reg Q3 The Wirral to Barbara WATSON 1918-2008, and had a son and a dau as above.
