From the Telegraph of 6 June 2023: MARCHWOOD Sylva Kathleen, Viscountess, (née Bastin) died peacefully at home on 29th May 2023, aged 84. Much loved widow of David, and of Peter Willis Fleming. Mother of Somerset, Min, Pedro, Sophie and Sebastian, stepmother, grandmother and stepgrandmother. Private cremation. Celebration of life in the autumn, to be notified later.

She was d of Maj-Gen George Restalick BASTIN CB OBE 1902-60 and Frances Gwendoline Ursula VENNING d 1976. She m 1^st Capt Peter Edward 1931-82 yst s of Brig John Browne Phillimore WILLIS FLEMING CBE 1895-1967 sometime head of that gentry family f/o Stoneham and Eirene 1901-87 d of Capt Edward Somerset CHARRINGTON 1875-1955 sometime head of that gentry family of Bures, and had three sons and two daus as above. She m 2^nd 2001 as his 2^nd w the 3^rd Viscount MARCHWOOD 1936-2022.
