interesting life - he was a priest 1966-1973. He was born 17 February
1931 and died 21 December 2008 in France.
[excepts]
Kester Scrope was born in 1931. He was the son Adrian Scrope (OA25,
died 1992) and Petsy Scrope (née Sykes). Petsy was brought up at
Sledmere in East Yorkshire, where the chapel was served from
Ampleforth, notably by Fr Dunstan Pozzi. The family lived at
Badlingham Manor at Chippenham near Ely. He was the second son [sic:
actually second child?] and eldest son in a family of seven. He was
one of four brothers at Ampleforth: John Scrope (C50), Bill Scrope
(C56) and Adrian Scrope (C67).
[snip]
He married Margaret de Salis on 12 July 1980.
After his retirement in 1987, Margaret and Kester lived in Provence in
France.
[snip]
As his brother John Scrope notes, he must be one of the few Old
Amplefordians who have received all seven sacraments. He died on 21
December 2008 in France.

The death was posted in March 2009.
