Triplets

I noticed recently that the present Lord Manton is a triplet - I wondered if he is the first (only?) peer to have been a triplet.  It appears the next Lord Savile will also be a triplet.

I then carried out some investigation to see if there were many triplets in the peerage and baronetage families expecting to find maybe half a dozen sets and was rather amazed by the number.  I have set out the list below.

The triplets are listed in the order they appear in the peerage books not necessarily birth order.  The entries are under the title they can be found in the peerage books - the triplets or their parents may not be in remainder to the main title.

Burke’s Peerage and Baronetage lists a triplet George Irvine, 6th of Artamford b 8 Jan 1705 under Irvine of Drum, Chief of Irvine but doesn’t list his triplet brothers/sisters

I can add one historical case:

Per the Scots Peerage, Rev. Lord Thomas Hay (25 August 1800-1890), of the Marquesses of Tweeddale, is said to have been one of triplets, of whom the other two were stillborn.
