From the Telegraph of 29 June 2024: STEWART-FITZROY Cdr RN (Ret'd) Allan Wentworth died on 14th June aged 89. Dedicated family man and much loved character in his local community, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him, particularly his wife Susan, their 3 daughters and sons-in-law, 7 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. Funeral at 2 p.m. on Thursday 18th July at St Thomas à Becket Church, Warblington... Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the RNLI.

He was s of Capt William Wentworth STEWART-FITZROY 1907-98 (3xgt gs of 1^st Baron SOUTHAMPTON 1737-97 who was 2xgt gs of King CHARLES II) and his 1^st w Margaret Patricia c1912-1984 d of Douglas Stewart GRANT of New York. He m 1960 Susan Elizabeth b 1939 reg Q3 Hants d of Capt Horace Gerald SOUTHWOOD CBE DSO RN 1912-97 and Ruby Edith 1911-2005 d of Charles Jesse HAYES 1873-1936 by his 1905 m (Tamworth, Staffs) Daisy May BALL 1883-1969, and had three daus as above.
