From the Times of 1 Oct 2024: CROOKENDEN Charles Stephen Napier died on 6th September 2024. Our prayers and thoughts are with Michelle, sons Oliver and Patrick and daughter Grace, and his wider family and many friends. A memorial service will be held in 2025 to celebrate the life of our much-loved Charlie.

He was s of Lt-Gen Sir Napier CROOKENDEN KCB DSO OBE 1915-2002 and Hon Patricia Nassau KINDERSLEY 1922-2010 d of 2^nd Baron KINDERSLEY 1899-1976 and Nancy Farnsworth BOYD 1901-77. He m 1998 Michelle Lynn d of Joseph OTT of Pittsburgh, PA, USA, and had two sons and a dau as above.
