From the Telegraph and Times of 26 October 2019: BRUCE-GARDYNE - Charles Evan died peacefully on 22nd October 2019, aged 92. Much beloved brother, husband, father and grandfather. Thanksgiving service at 2:30pm, Friday 1st November at St John's Episcopal Church, Forfar. No flowers please, but donations if desired to The Deaf Association.

He was s of Capt Evan BRUCE-GARDYNE DSO RN (1885-1949), whom he succ as head of the Scots gentry family of that name, and brother of the LP Baron BRUCE-GARDYNE (1930-90), and Joan (1898-1996) d of Charles Edward McLAREN (1851-1924) by his 1897 m (reg Q2 London) to Nora O'SHAUGHNESSY (1857-1947). He m 1966 Dorothy Margaret (b 1940) d of Lt-Col Hew Angus Christopher BLAIR-IMRIE DSO MC (1915-ka1944), scion of the Scots gentry family of that name of Lunan, and Margaret Wedderburn (1913-94) d of Lindsay Goerge ARBUTHNOTT (1853-1927, gs of 8th Viscount of ARBUTHNOTT (1778-1860)), and had two sons and a dau. His elder son succeeds him:

Evan David BRUCE-GARDYNE (b 1967), 15th of Middleton. He m 1998 (the Times 4 Feb) Elizabeth Laetitia (b 1967 reg Q3 Hampshire) d of Lt-Col Nicholas John Douglas PRESCOTT MBE (b c1929) of Dalnacreoch, Gartmore, Stirlingshire by his 1963 m (reg Q3 London) to Pauline Elizabeth (b c1933 reg Q1 London) d of F C WOODMAN of London, and had issue:
1 Alexander (Alec) Evan (b 1999 ref MIN/396 Minor Records), heir apparent
1 Emma Elizabeth (b 2001 reg Q2 London)
