Sir STUART-FORBES Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 17, 2024 with family nearby, after a long and courageous battle. Loved by his wife Jan (deceased) and his children Ken and Cindy, Cathy and Willie, Jane and Tom, Daniel and Sonja and Sonny and William Huia (both deceased). Loved by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Messages may be sent to the Stuart-Forbes Family, c/- P.O. Box 110, Blenheim 7240. A service to remember Sir William's life will be held at Sowman's Mayfield Chapel, cnr Hutcheson and Parker Streets, Blenheim, at 1.00pm on Monday April 22. In keeping with Sir William's wishes a private burial has taken place.

He was the son of William Kenneth STUART-FORBES (1906-1946), son of the 10th Bt and brother of the 11th and 12th Bts, and (m 1932) Marjory GILCHRIST. He succ his uncle the 12th Bt in 1985 but was never entered on the Official Roll of the Baronetage. He m (1) 1956 Jannette nee MacDONALD (d 1997) and (2) 2001 Mrs Betty Dawn WARD nee GIBSON (d 2021) and had three sons by his first m (his yst son Reginald MacDonald (Sonny?) d 2016 acc to DPB online - not sure who William Huia is) and two daus also by his 1st m
His elder surviving son Sir Kenneth Charles STUART-FORBES b 26 Dec 1956 has succeeded as the 14th Baronet Stuart-Forbes of Pitsligo and Monymusk - he is already entered on the Official Roll of the Baronetage. He m 1981 Susan MURRAY and has issue:-
1. SAMUEL ALEXANDER MURRAY b 21 Jan 1989 heir apparent
1. Amy Dawn b 1982
2. Haylee Rachel b 1985
