From the Telegraph of 20 March 2020: BERESFORD, Lord Patrick Tristram de la Poer died peacefully at home on 18th March aged 85. Much loved father of Valentine and Samantha, father-in-law to Evelyne and grandfather. Private family funeral. Burial of ashes at Curraghmore, Ireland and memorial at the Guards' Chapel on dates to be confirmed.

He was s of 7th Marquess of Waterford (1901-34) and Juliet Mary LINDSAY (1904-87 having m 2nd Lt-Col John Silcock), scion of the CRAWFORD & BALCARRES earls. He m 1964 (div 1971) as her 2nd h Julia Jill (1939-2013, formerly Mrs Darel Carel and later Mrs _ Green) d of Col Thomas Cromwell WILLIAMSON DSO (d 1987) of Beaumont Hall, Thorpe-le-Soken, Essex, and had a son and a dau as above.
