Ancestry appears to be as follows:

Jacques Blaquiere 1726-1791 of Patna, Bihar, India m. -
William Coates Blaquiere 1759-1853 J.P. Calcutta m. -
George Hudson Blaquiere 1815/6-1875 m. 1851, Amelia Hester, dau. of John Tratt
Henry Rufus Blaquiere 1865-1942 m. 1888, Effie Clarissa, dau. of James Bateman Lemondine
Henry Arnold Blaquiere 1890-1968 m. 1919, Jean Robb
Henry M. Blaquiere 1919- m. 1944, Catherine Muriel Meakins
Andrew David (de) Blaquiere 1952- [m. Amanda L. Smith] [of Heswall, Wirral]
Gabrielle Elise de Blaquiere 1988-

Link with Blaquiere barons unclear but quite possible.

Excellent thanks. I hoped someone would spend a bit more time on it.

From "The Blaquière Family clan" site:
Fleurens Blaquiere (1653 - ?) -> Jean de Blaquiere (1676 - 1753) -> John Blaquiere, 1st Baron de Blaquiere
Fleurens Blaquiere (1653 - ?) -> Élie  Blaquiere (1674 - 1730) -> Jean Pierre Blaquiere (1702 - 1760) -> Jacob Blaquiere (1731 - 1791) -> William Coates Blaquiere (1764 - 1853)

If Jacob Blaquiere (b. 1731, d.  1791 in Calcutta) and  Jacques Blaquiere 1726-1791 of Patna, Bihar, India is the same person than we have the link.

Thanks Jelena; my original source was one compiled by a descendant rather than a published one (therefore presumably somewhat more prone to inaccuracy)- another similar source has 'Jacques (Jacob) Blaquiere 1726-1791', so I suspect you are correct, and that it's simply a matter of inexact recording of the dates.
