Is Herbert Gordon Chaytor, 9th Baronet (b. 1922) or his son Bruce Gordon Chaytor, presumed 9th Baronet (b. 1949)?  I can not find death date for Herbert so I am not sure how or if Bruce is baronet.

Debrett's 2019 says "Sir Bruce Gordon Chaytor, 9th Baronet" is son of "late Herbert Gordon Chaytor", but gives no date of death for the latter- https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=99tHEAAAQBAJ&pg=PA198&lpg=PA198&dq=Herbert+Gordon+Chaytor&source=bl&ots=DOg5g1FTFO&sig=ACfU3U1q-Y_vardY14rbmtT3XVVu8qiBDw&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiV-O74sJb3AhXCiVwKHQIICEgQ6AF6BAgdEAM#v=onepage&q=Herbert%20Gordon%20Chaytor&f=false

The entry observes also however that "no name has been entered on the Official Roll of the Baronetage since the death of the 7th Baronet in 1976".

Debrett's Peerage and Baronetage 2019 (see https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=99tHEAAAQBAJ&pg=PA198&lpg=PA198&dq=%22Herbert+Gordon+Chaytor%22&source=bl&ots=DOg5g1FSzM&sig=ACfU3U3pLckUksu0ehPBVJfq8MOkYuCZig&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjAjrursJb3AhXNbsAKHR1NCWkQ6AF6BAgfEAM#v=onepage&q=%22Herbert%20Gordon%20Chaytor%22&f=false) shows Sir Bruce Gordon Chaytor as the 9th Baronet, so I presume they have satisfied themselves that his father predeceased the (presumed) 8th Baronet.

Here is an obituary for Mary Alice Chaytor, per Debrett's People of Today 1995, she née Craven, m. Herbert Gordon Chaytor in 1947- https://www.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/craven/1599/

It notes he predeceased her, in 1992. Evidently Debrett's were not informed of his death for some time(?), at least not before the publication of People of Today 1995.
Given the British Columbia element (per the obituary and the People of Today entry, which gives  his address as "1899, Deborah Drive, Duncan, B[ritish] C[olumbia]"), this would explain no evidence of Herbert Gordon Chaytor in U.K. death records, nor in electoral roll or related records.
