He was s of Sydney Alexander AGNEW 1924-2003 of South Molton, Devon. He m 1982 Anna Margaret b 1956  d of Rt Rev George Christopher Cutts PEPYS 1914-74 sometime Bishop of Buckingham (gt gs of 1^st Earl of COTTENHAM 1781-1851 who was a 2nd cousin 4xremoved of the diarist Samuel PEPYS 1632-1703) and as her 1^st h (her 2^nd h was Rt Rev Michael Ashley MANN KCVO 1924-2011, sometime Bishop of Dudley & Dean of Windsor) Elizabeth Margaret 1924-2009 d of Maj-Gen Roger GIllies EKIN CIE 1895-1990 and his 1^st w Phyllis Marian 1898-1967 d of Maj-Gen Sir Henry Leycester CROKER KCB CMG 1864-1938 and Mabel Elizabeth TEDLIE 1871-1955, and had 2 sons and a dau as above. At least one of whom has produced a child/children as Robert is described as a grandfather in the death notice. All three are shown as unm in DPB online.
