The engagement was announced 21 April, 2012, between the Hon Peregrine Alexander Nelson Hood (b 30 Aug 1974), son and heir of the 4th Viscount Bridport (b 17 Mar, 1948), by his former wife the former Linda Jacqueline Paravicini (now Countess of Suffolk & Berkshire) (b 1950, descended from the Swinnerton-Dyer Baronets) & Serena Nikkhah, eldest daughter of Mr & Mrs Shahrokh Nikkhah, of London.
