From the Telegraph of 17 April 2021: COMBE Richard Tristram, late Coldstream Guards, after an accident on 13th April 2021, aged 83. Elder son of the late Robert and Shournagh Combe of Earnshill. Richard will be greatly missed by his wife Bridgett and all the extended family. A private funeral will be held for family and a memorial service will take place in Hambridge at a later date.
He was s of Lt Robert Tristram COMBE 1912-kas1940 whom he succ. as head of that gentry family of Earnshill, and Shournagh Dorothy 1914-2001 d of Sir Richard St John Jefferyes COLTHURST 8th Bt 1887-1955 and Cecily Charlotte 1886-1958 d of Brig-Gen Hugh Cecil CHOLMONDELEY 1852-1941 (gs of 1st Baron DELAMERE 1767-1866 & scion of not descended from the CHOLMONDELEY marquesses). He m 1985 Bridgett Anne b 1937 reg Q2 London (formerly Mrs Glide) d of Charles Fleetwood CROMBIE 1908-83 of Strete, Dartmouth, Devon by his 1934 m reg Q3 Surrey to Joan Lefeaux MARTEN 1908-2003, no issue. He is succ. as family head by his brother Henry Cecil COMBE b 1940 who is married with a son, Nicholas Hamilton b 1969
