Irvine Robertson - The engagement is announced between Tom, son of the late Mr Nigel Harding-Newman and of Mrs Mandy Harding-Newman, of Derbyshire, and Sophie, daughter of the late Mr John Irvine Robertson and of Mrs Jane Irvine Robertson, of Sterling.

Thomas J (Tom, b 1982) s of Nigel Hamilton HARDING-NEWMAN (1947-2014), scion of the gentry family of that name formerly of Nelmes and, through his mother, descended from Lt-Gen the 4th Duke of HAMILTON &c (1658-1712), by his 1978 m (reg Q2 Berkshire) to Mandy (Sarah A) (b 1952 reg Q2 Berkshire) d of Richard William H ELSDEN (1911-2001) and Maureen Elizabeth SHIEL (1920-1999). The Nigel Harding-Newman's other child, a son, William Richard, was b Dec 1980 (reg Q1 1981 Wiltshire)
